Policy DM 50: Pollution - Assessment and Mitigation Requirements
Development with potential to cause significant pollution in noise, air, water, and light emissions must be supported by a detailed assessment report demonstrating no unacceptable adverse impact on local amenity or environment, with appropriate mitigation measures detailed.
The Council will only support development proposals with the potential to cause significant pollution in terms of noise, air, water and light emissions where a detailed assessment report, on the levels, character and transmission of the potential pollution is undertaken by the developer. The report must demonstrate that the development will not have an unacceptable adverse impact on local amenity or the environment and detail how any pollution arising will be appropriately mitigated.
