The protection of existing facilities and designated sites/lands is required to ensure the promotion of equality of access to community infrastructure in line with current and future needs. Where proposed new development results in increased demand for community infrastructure, it is considered reasonable that a contribution is made towards the provision of new or improved facilities or improved accessibility. This will help to promote and sustain equality of access to all community infrastructure facilities and reduce health inequality.
