Tall Building Design Statement Requirements
Applications for new buildings 35m or taller in height must be accompanied by a tall building design statement that assesses local context, impact on designated areas, and design rationale.
In addition to the normal requirements in relation to planning applications, applications for any new building of 35m (AOD) or taller, irrespective of location, must be accompanied by a tall building design statement. The 35m height threshold will include extensions to existing buildings and the addition of plant and/or structural projections.
