Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) preference
The Council promotes SuDS as the preferred approach for treating surface water and managing flow rates where feasible.
Whilst recognising they may not always be a suitable mitigation measure, the Council will seek to promote the use of SuDS, as the preferred means of treating surface water and managing flow rates for development proposals in locations where this is a feasible solution.
