Policy SD2 - Settlement Areas
The council has designated eight types of settlement areas within Belfast City to which plan policies will apply, including the city centre, inner and outer Belfast, harbour estate, district and local centres, city corridors, and rail stations.
Within Belfast City, the council has designated the following settlement areas to apply the council's plan policies:
• Belfast City Centre;
• Inner city Belfast;
• Outer Belfast;
• Belfast Harbour Estate;
• District centres;
• Local centres;
• City corridors; and
• Rail stations and halts.
