Remote operation as alternative to direct reach
Where a control cannot be positioned within safe reach from the floor, a remote operation system such as mechanical or electrical means should be considered as an alternative.
Where the control cannot be positioned within safe reach of a person standing on the floor (or other permanent stable surface), a safe means of remote operation, such as a mechanical or electrical system should be considered.
