Safe reach and general positioning requirements
Controls must be within safe reach of a person standing on a floor or permanent stable surface, and small recesses like window reveals may be ignored when assessing reach.
A control for a window, skylight or ventilator should be within safe reach of a person standing on a floor (or other permanent stable surface). When considering safe reach, a small recess such as a window reveal may be ignored.
