Level approach specifications
A level approach must have a firm and even surface with minimum 900 mm unobstructed width and slope not steeper than 1 in 20, with crossfall not exceeding 1 in 40.
A level approach should have –
(a) a surface which is firm and even;
(b) an unobstructed width not less than 900 mm; and
(c) a slope not steeper than 1 in 20.
Where a level approach has a crossfall it should not exceed 1 in 40.
