Wheelchair Accessible Unisex Sanitary Accommodation Layout and Dimensions

Diagram 6.1 specifies the detailed layout and dimensional requirements for wheelchair accessible unisex sanitary accommodation, including placement of fixtures, grab rails, turning spaces, and accessibility features.

Wheelchair accessible unisex sanitary accommodation including: toilet with grab rails positioned not less than 720 mm and not more than 740 mm from wall, and not less than 800 mm and not more than 1000 mm from back wall; hand rinse basin; mirror with bottom edge 600 mm above floor level and not less than 1600 mm to the top edge; alarm pull cord with two red bangles at 950 mm above floor level, with alternative position available; shelves at 680 mm and 1100 mm heights; drop down rail at same height as horizontal grab rails; vertical grab rails; clothes hooks; shelf for standing users at 970 mm; soap dispenser, paper towel dispenser, and toilet paper dispenser zones; sanitary dispenser and disposal bin zones; hand dryer; 1500 mm by 1500 mm wheelchair turning space; wall mounted grab rail; clear of any projecting heat emitters; horizontal dimensions including 300 mm, 150 mm, 320 mm, 500 mm, 250 mm, 600 mm spacing; vertical grab rail depths 140-160 mm and 60 mm to 85 mm; door opening widths 600 mm - 700 mm minimum.
