Water closet and accessible sanitary accommodation doors
Doors to water closet compartments or unisex accessible sanitary accommodation must comply with paragraphs 3.13 and 3.15, have privacy bolts operable by people with limited dexterity, and be capable of opening outward from outside in emergencies.
A door to a water closet compartment or unisex accessible sanitary accommodation should –
(a) comply with the provisions of paragraph 3.13 and 3.15;
(b) where a privacy bolt is installed, be fitted with a privacy bolt that can be operated by people with limited dexterity; and
(c) be capable of being opened outwards from the outside in the case of an emergency.
