Water temperature and flow control in educational and public facilities

Bath, basin, and shower fittings in educational buildings or public facilities must supply water not exceeding 43°C and have flow control operable with a closed fist.

A bath, basin or shower terminal fitting in an educational building, or within a facility provided for the use of the public, should – (a) be supplied with water, through a device or other suitable means, so that the temperature of the water discharged at the outlet does not exceed 43ºC; and (b) have the flow of water controlled, either automatically or by a device, that is capable of being operated with a closed fist (e.g. by a lever action).
