Environmental resilience and climate change mitigation through LDP
The Council promotes environmental resilience by focusing growth in sustainable locations to reduce car usage, promoting renewable energy technologies, and encouraging innovative building technologies to help mitigate and adapt to environmental change.
Environmental change is one of the most pressing challenges facing our Borough and there are a number of ways that the LDP can promote environmental resilience and help mitigate and adapt to this change. This includes focussing growth in sustainable locations that helps reduce car usage, promoting renewable energy technologies, and making greater use of more innovative building technologies.
