Emergency assistance alarms in wheelchair accessible changing facilities

All individual and incorporated wheelchair accessible changing facilities must have an emergency assistance alarm complying with paragraph 6.5 and an emergency assistance alarm pull cord complying with paragraph 5.46, positioned so it can be reached from the tip-up seat and adjacent area.

Every individual and incorporated wheelchair accessible changing facility should have – (a) an emergency assistance alarm complying with the provisions of paragraph 6.5; and (b) an emergency assistance alarm pull cord complying with the provisions of paragraph 5.46, that can be reached from the tip-up seat and the area adjacent to the seat.
