Flood risk assessment using up to date flood maps and precautionary approach
All planning applications must be considered against the most current flood risk information from Flood Maps NI, with a precautionary approach applied to areas subject to present or future flood risk from climate change.
All planning applications will be considered with reference to the most up to date flood risk information, in particular that which is available on Flood Maps NI prepared by DfI Rivers. In all cases, the Council will apply a precautionary approach to development in areas that may be subject to flood risk presently or in the future as a result of climate change.
