Lifting platform liftway enclosure requirements
A lifting platform must be contained within a liftway enclosure if the vertical travel distance exceeds 2000 mm or if it travels through a floor penetration.
A lifting platform should be contained within a liftway enclosure where –
(a) the vertical travel distance is more than 2000 mm; or
(b) the lifting platform travels through a floor penetration.
