Automatic activation device detection zone positioning

For power operated entrance doors with automatic activation, the edge of the detection zone must be positioned 1400 mm from the door (measured perpendicular to the door plane when opening away) or from the leading edge of the fully open door (when opening towards the user), as shown in Diagram 3.3.

Where a power operated entrance door has an automatic activation device, it should be positioned so that the edge of the detection zone, where activation is initiated, is 1400 mm from – (a) the door, measured perpendicular to the plane of the closed door, when the door opens away from the user; and (b) the leading edge of the door in the fully open position, when the door opens towards the user.
