Effective clear width of doorway measurement
The effective clear width of a doorway is measured from the leading edge of the door to the return wall and must be not less than 300 mm unless the door is power operated and activated in accordance with paragraph 3.17. Single leaf doors and at least one leaf of a pair of doors should provide this width.
