Weather protection at entrance doors

The area immediately in front of manually operated entrance doors should be protected from inclement weather where practicable, through measures such as a canopy or recessed entrance, to assist people who require extra time to operate doors.

When manually operated entrance doors are installed, the area immediately in front of the entrance doors should, where it is practicable, be protected from inclement weather. This will assist people who require extra time to use manually operated doors and may take the form of a canopy or recessed entrance.
