Tactile warning paving at uncontrolled carriageway crossings
Level approaches crossing a carriageway at an uncontrolled crossing point must be identified using buff coloured blister type tactile warning paving with specific dimensions and specifications.
Where a level approach crosses a carriageway at an uncontrolled crossing point, this should be identified by using buff coloured blister type tactile warning paving, having a length of not less than 1200 mm and a width of 800 mm. See Diagram 2.1. Blister surface 16 mm radius, 25 mm diameter, 5 mm, 10 mm. Gradient not steeper than 1 in 12. Blister surface dropped kerb flush with carriageway.
