Level approach surface characteristics
The surface of a level approach must be firm, slip-resistant, have consistent frictional characteristics throughout, and have an even finish.
The surface of a level approach should –
(a) be firm;
(b) reduce the risk of slipping;
(c) have similar surface frictional characteristics along its length; and
(d) have an even surface finish.
