Level approach requirement for buildings

Access to a building should be by a level approach; however, where site constraints result in a gradient of 1 in 20 or steeper, a ramped approach should be provided.

The means of access to a building should be by a level approach complying with paragraph 2.8 to 2.12. However, where site constraints necessitate that all or any part of the means of access to or between buildings, contains a gradient of 1 in 20 or steeper, a ramped approach should be provided.
