Defined terms: Sanitary facilities and suitable design

Definitions of sanitary accommodation, sanitary convenience, suitable access, and related facility terms.

Sanitary accommodation – has the meaning assigned to it by regulation 84 in Part P of the Building Regulations. Sanitary convenience – has the meaning assigned to it by regulation 90 in Part R of the Building Regulations. Suitable – (with respect to means of access and facilities) designed for use by people regardless of their ability.
