Other legislation
The provisions in this Technical Booklet address Building Regulations requirements only. Other statutory legislation including health, safety, and welfare regulations may apply during design, construction, or when the building is brought into use and may cover aspects outside the scope of Building Regulations.
The provisions of this Technical Booklet relate to the requirements of Building Regulations and do not include measures which may be necessary to meet the requirements of other legislation. Such other legislation may operate during the design or construction stages or when a building is brought into use and can extend to cover aspects which are outside the scope of the Building Regulations. Relevant statutory requirements can be found in the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 and the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.
