Terraced and Semi-detached Houses Treated as Individual Buildings
Terraced and semi-detached houses designed to operate independently are not regarded as multi-dwelling buildings and do not need to comply with regulation 77B(2), allowing separate access points for each house.
Terraced and semi-detached houses which have been designed to be maintained and to operate independently of one another should not be regarded as multi-dwelling buildings for the purposes of Part M and hence do not have to comply with regulation 77B(2). Separate access points may be provided for each house in such cases.
