LPG Tank Location and Separation Requirements
LPG tanks must be located in the open air and adequately separated from buildings, boundaries, and sources of ignition to enable safe gas dispersal and reduce fire spread risk.
The LPG tank should be installed in the open air and not within an open pit. The tank should be adequately separated from buildings, the boundary and any fixed sources of ignition to enable safe dispersal of the gas in the event of venting or leaks. If there is a fire at any of these locations these measures should reduce the risk of the fire spreading.
