Existing flue re-use and repair
Where an existing flue is being brought back into use or used with a different appliance type or rating, it must be cleaned, visually inspected and altered if necessary to ensure suitability for proposed use.
Where it is proposed to bring an existing flue back into use, or an existing flue is to be used with a different type or rating of combustion appliance, it should be cleaned, visually inspected and if necessary altered to ensure that it is suitable for the proposed use.
