Health, Wellbeing and Open Spaces

The Council aims to improve health and wellbeing by protecting and making accessible open spaces, creating green networks within and linking settlements, and ensuring accessible community facilities like schools serve urban and rural communities.

It is important that the Council seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of those who live within the Borough. Open spaces should be protected and accessible for all to enjoy and the creation of accessible green networks within, around and linking settlements will help promote health and wellbeing, as well as enhancing biodiversity opportunities. Accessibility will also be a key factor in accommodating necessary community facilities such as schools to serve our urban and rural communities.
