General - Three Methods of Dwelling Ventilation
Section 2.1 outlines three alternative methods for ventilating dwellings: Method 1 (providing specified ventilation rates), Method 2 (following system guidance for dwellings with or without basements), or Method 3 (using other ventilation systems).
This Section gives three methods of ventilating dwellings, by –
Method 1 – providing the ventilation rates set out in paragraphs 2.5 to 2.7;
or
Method 2 – following the system guidance set out –
(i) for dwellings without basements (paragraphs 2.8 to 2.105); or
(ii) for dwellings with basements (paragraphs 2.106 to 2.108); or
Method 3 – using other ventilation systems (paragraph 2.109).
