Ventilation of car parks - Performance requirement

Regulation 66 is met by providing adequate ventilation to extract hazardous pollutants from car parks using natural ventilation, mixed mode, or mechanical ventilation methods.

It is the view of the Department that the requirements of regulation 66 will be met by making adequate provisions of ventilation to extract pollutants which are hazardous to health from the area where they are produced in significant quanity before they become widespread. This can be done either by (a) natural ventilation or (b) mixed mode or (c) mechanical ventilation.
