Height and load resistance of guarding
Guarding at specified locations must meet minimum heights and be capable of resisting a horizontal force of 1100 mm as detailed in Table 5.1, irrespective of the actual guarding height.
Guarding which is provided at the locations given in Table 5.1 column (1) should be –
(a) of a height not less than that given in column (2); and
(b) capable of resisting the horizontal force given in column (3) applied at a height of 1100 mm irrespective of the actual height of the guarding (see Diagram 5.1).
