Coastal Policy Area definition

The Council has identified a Coastal Policy Area comprising the area between Mean High Water Spring Tide Mark and Mean Low Water Spring Tide Mark to protect the natural heritage asset of Belfast Lough.

Our Borough has a short coastline onto Belfast Lough which is recognised as an area of significant environmental importance. To help protect this important natural heritage asset and landscape feature the Council has identified a Coastal Policy Area that comprises the area between the Mean High Water Spring Tide Mark and the Mean Low Water Spring Tide Mark.
