B2.2 Airborne Sound Insulation Measurement of Separating Wall or Floor
Airborne sound insulation must be measured according to BS EN ISO 140-4 using one-third octave frequency bands and rated using the weighted standardised level difference DnT,w and spectrum adaptation term Ctr.
The airborne sound insulation of a separating wall or floor should be measured in accordance with BS EN ISO 140-4. All measurements and calculations should be carried out using one-third octave frequency bands. Performance should be rated in terms of the weighted standardised level difference, DnT,w, and spectrum adaptation term, Ctr, in accordance with BS EN ISO 717-1.
