Internal floor type A: Concrete planks
Specifies concrete plank floor construction with minimum mass requirements, optional regulating screed and ceiling finish, and notes that impact sound resistance can be improved with soft floor finishes.
Concrete planks (see Diagram 5.5) – minimum mass per unit area 180 kg/m2; regulating screed optional; ceiling finish optional. Note – Insulation against impact sounds can be improved by adding a soft floor finish such as a carpet.
