Wall type 3.1 - Solid masonry core with independent panels
Specifies construction of sound-resistant walls using dense aggregate concrete block cores with independent plasterboard panels on both sides, requiring minimum mass and core specifications.
Solid masonry core (dense aggregate concrete block), independent panels on both room faces (see Diagram 2.27 and 2.28) –
minimum mass per unit area of core 300 kg/m2;
minimum core width is determined by structural requirements;
independent panels on both room faces.
