Special Regard for Listed Buildings
Planning law requires that special regard must be paid to preserving Listed Buildings, their settings, and their features of special architectural or historic merit when considering proposals affecting them.
In considering proposals that affect a Listed Building, legislation (Section 91 of the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011) requires that special regard must be paid to the desirability of preserving the building or its setting or any features of special architectural or historic merit which it possesses.
