Indoor air quality and ventilation provisions

Consideration should be given to Technical Booklet K and infection transmission guidance to ensure good indoor air quality, particularly where air permeability performance is very high or mechanical ventilation systems that re-circulate air are proposed.

Consideration should be given to the provisions of Technical Booklet K and advice coming forward with respect to transmission of infection in order to ensure good indoor air quality. This is of increasing importance as air permeability performance improves and may be particularly relevant where a performance of less than 3 m3/(h.m2) at 50 Pa is a likely outcome and/or where mechanical ventilation systems which re-circulate air are proposed.
