Regulation 42: Change of energy status
When a previously unconditioned building or part of a building becomes conditioned through heating or cooling, the work must meet the performance requirements of Regulation 39.
It is the view of the Department that the requirements of regulation 42 will be met where a previously unconditioned building, or part of a building, becomes conditioned i.e. by heating or cooling and where the work is undertaken to meet the performance requirements of regulation 39.
