Nearly zero-energy building requirement
New buildings must be nearly zero-energy buildings, with public authority buildings required to comply from 1 January 2019 and all other new buildings from 31 December 2020.
Where a building is erected, it must be a nearly zero-energy building. In respect of new buildings occupied and owned by public authorities, this regulation shall apply from 1st January 2019; and in respect of all new buildings, this regulation shall apply from 31st December 2020.
