Common areas in buildings with multiple dwellings
Common areas in multiple-dwelling buildings are not classified as dwellings; unheated areas must comply with fabric standards while heated areas must comply with Technical Booklet F2.
The common areas of buildings containing multiple dwellings are not classified as dwellings. These common areas should –
(a) where they are not heated, comply with the fabric standard provisions of paragraphs 2.41 to 2.46; and
(b) where they are heated, comply with the provisions of Technical Booklet F2.
