Dwellings within larger mixed-use buildings
When a dwelling is part of a larger building with other accommodation types, Technical Booklet F1 applies only to the dwelling itself, while Technical Booklet F2 applies to non-dwelling parts including heated common areas and commercial space.
When constructing a dwelling as part of a larger building that contains other types of accommodation, this Technical Booklet applies solely to the dwelling. Technical Booklet F2 applies to the non-dwelling parts of the building such as heated common areas and, in the case of mixed-use developments, the commercial or retail space.
