Strategic Policy 7: Historic Environment - Protection and Conservation
The Council will protect, conserve and promote heritage assets including archaeological remains, historic parks and gardens, listed buildings, conservation areas, and areas of townscape character, working with partners and applying relevant development management policies.
The Council will work in partnership with DfC Historic Environment Division, heritage organisations and developers to protect, conserve and promote the enhancement of the following heritage assets and their settings:
• Archaeological remains;
• Registered Historic Parks, Gardens and Demesnes;
• Listed Buildings;
• Conservation Areas; and
• Areas of Townscape Character.
