Limitations on roof coverings by designation and distance

Table 5.7 specifies which roof covering designations are acceptable based on their distance from a relevant boundary, with restrictions becoming stricter for lower fire-performance classes at closer distances.

(2) Acceptable on buildings not listed in Note 1 but only where that part of the roof is – (i) not more than 3 m² in area; (ii) not less than 1.5 m from any similar part; and (iii) the roof covering between any such parts is a material of limited combustibility.
