Visual Integration from Critical Viewpoints

New development in the countryside must be carefully sited and designed to blend into its surroundings, even where it cannot be readily identified from critical viewpoints. Combined views from multiple private laneways in close proximity may also be relevant in assessing integration.

Where a site cannot be readily identified from critical viewpoints, it does not obviate the need for careful site selection to ensure the proposed building blends into its surroundings and is of a high standard of design.
