Biodiversity and Landscaping Requirements

All countryside development proposals must address biodiversity impact and include a detailed landscaping scheme with native or locally characteristic species, retaining or reinstating traditional boundaries.

All proposals for development in the countryside will be expected to address biodiversity impact and be accompanied by a detailed landscaping scheme, which retains or reinstates traditional boundaries and augments existing planting. The Council will only support new landscaping schemes which include native species or locally characteristic trees.
