Shopping complexes - alternative measures and compensatory features
Alternative measures and compensatory features beyond the standard shop provisions must be applied to shopping complexes, as detailed in BS 5588-10 Sections 5 and 6 and BS 9999.
To ensure a satisfactory standard of fire safety in shopping complexes, alternative measures and additional compensatory features to the provisions set out in this Section are needed. Such features are set out in Sections 5 and 6 of BS 5588-10 and the relevant recommendations of BS 9999 those sections and should be followed.
