Rural Design and Character - Policy Rationale
This policy aims to promote high quality development that sympathetically integrates into rural surroundings, supports biodiversity, and protects the amenity and character of the countryside, consistent with SPPS provisions.
Why we have this Policy
9.20 The aim of this policy is to promote high quality forms of development which are designed to sympathetically integrate into their surroundings, assist the promotion of biodiversity and to protect the amenity and character of our countryside. This aim has taken account of and is consistent with the provisions of the SPPS.
