Performance of fire doors - Location 9: Protected stairs and fire-resisting construction in dwellings

Fire doors forming part of enclosures to protected stairs in single family dwellinghouses or within any other fire-resisting construction in dwellings must have a minimum fire resistance of 20 minutes integrity when tested to BS 476: Part 22, or E20 when tested to the relevant European standard.

Location of door: Any door – (a) forming part of the enclosures to a protected stair in a single family dwellinghouse; (b) within any other fire-resisting construction in a dwelling. Minimum fire resistance of door in terms of integrity (minutes) when tested to BS 476: Part 22: 20; 20. Minimum fire resistance of door in terms of integrity (minutes) when tested to the relevant European standard: E20; E20.
