Climate Change Resilience and Sustainable Development
All development must demonstrate responsiveness to climate change through renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental resilience (especially flood resilience), and sustainable management of stormwater, wastewater and waste.
All development should demonstrate the ways in which it is responsive to the threat of climate change. This should be achieved through the incorporation of renewable energy and enhanced energy efficiency measures, as well as through environmental resilience to the impacts of climate change, especially flooding. It will also be necessary to consider how the stormwater, wastewater and other waste produced by the proposal will be dealt with in a sustainable and non-intrusive manner.
