Specific fire-resistance period requirements

An element or component specified to have a particular fire-resistance period must achieve at least that period for all relevant performance aspects listed in Table 4.1.

Provision for an element of structure or other component of the building to have a specific period of fire resistance means that it should have not less than that period, in respect of the relevant aspects of performance given in Table 4.1.
