Thermoplastic Material Surface Requirements When Used as Lining

When thermoplastic material is used as a wall or ceiling lining, the surface requirements depend on whether the material is fully bonded to a non-thermoplastic substrate or not.

Where a thermoplastic material is used as a lining to protect a wall or ceiling but is not fully bonded to a non-thermoplastic substrate the surfaces of both the thermoplastic material and the substrate should meet the provisions of paragraph 3.10. However, where a thermoplastic material is fully bonded to a non-thermoplastic substrate only the surface of the composite need meet the provisions of paragraph 3.10.
